After a 36-year cryogenic sleep, you awaken in the year 2032 to a city bursting at the seams full of crime and violence. You are John Spartan, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer whose mission is to seek and destroy Simon Phoenix, a renegade career criminal wanted for various crimes against humanity. The only problem is that Phoenix is out to kill you too, so you'll need eyes in the back of your head if you want to stay alive. Through 10 brutal levels, you'll utilize shotguns, handguns, and grenades as you search for Simon. Half of the action takes place outdoors and consists of side-scrolling gameplay, while the other five levels take you to indoor settings with a top-down perspective. You're the only man who can stop the maniacal Simon Phoenix from wreaking havoc in the future. Good luck!
Demolition Man looks great. The backgrounds are nicely detailed without being an eyesore, and vary pretty much too. The sprites are all well designed and animated, and the action is nearly always fast and fluid. The movie shots look pretty good for a game. What really makes the game shine graphics-wise is its faithfulness in detail to the movie. Los Angeles has the projects and cheap restaurants in the background, and the dilapidated buildings you are walking around on look great too.
The music in Demolition Man is fine, each level has it's own theme. This game is full of realistic and powerful shoots, explosions and various battle sounds. Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipe's quips sound the way they should. One thing that fans of the movie will notice right away will be the Scientists' “Be Well” quote.

Demolition Man is also known as Demolitionman.
This is where the “non-stop action” description comes into play. You seem to constantly be running, shooting, jumping up ladders, sliding down zip-lines, etc. Levels are usually side-scrolling shoot-em-ups, but sometimes variety to a top-down perspective shoot fest that sees you rarely lifting your finger off the shoot button. These levels tend to be more frustrating. The side-scrolling levels are extremely fun.
