TTO - Phiên bản service pack 3 sửa lỗi cho bộ công cụ văn phòng Microsoft Office 2003 vừa được chính thức phát hành, tập trung vá các lỗi bảo mật nguy hiểm bao gồm tất cả các bản vá trước đây. So với vá lỗi quá dài trong Office 2003 SP3 thì những chức năng mới được bổ sung không đáng là bao nhiêu, bao gồm: hỗ trợ chỉnh sửa một khóa registry để thay đổi số tin nhắn MIME được nhúng đã xử lý trước khi một tin nhắn MIME xuất hiện trong Outlook 2003, kích hoạt và tắt điểm cài đặt cổng COM xác định, cho phép cài đặt các phần bổ sung cho Microsoft Office Access 2003 trên các máy tính sử dụng Windows Vista.
Phiên bản Service Pack 3 thực hiện nhiều thay đổi cho Office 2003 như: thiết lập sao lưu nhanh (Fast Save) bị loại bỏ trong Microsoft Word, những mã macro trong các định dạng tập tin Excel cũ được tăng cường bảo mật... Ngoài ra, Microsoft cũng cảnh báo nhiều vấn đề có thể xảy ra sau khi cài đặt SP3, cụ thể là các tập tin Excel 95 có chứa các ứng dụng macro Visual Basic sẽ không thể được mở từ Microsoft Excel 2003, có thể xuất hiện lỗi khi mở hay sao lưu một tập tin, các email đính kèm tập tin có định dạng .gadget sẽ không thể mở được trong Outlook 2003 và kèm theo nhiều vấn đề khác.
Tương thích với các phiên bản của hệ điều hành Windows 2000 SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, bản Office 2003 Service Pack 3 đã bao gồm 2 phiên bản service pack 1 và 2, người dùng Microsoft Office 2003 có thể tải về (dung lượng 117MB).
